What is not in an LLC service’s headline price

Five things decide whether a service costs what it says. How Mainstay Filing treats each is stated plainly; for the others, check their pages.

  1. The state’s filing fee. $35 to $500 by state, on top of every service. State fees are passed through at cost and shown before you pay.
  2. The registered agent. Mainstay Filing includes it all year. Some packages include it for year one only, or not at all.
  3. The annual report. Mainstay Filing prepares and files it. Northwest Registered Agent’s page lists filing as $100 plus the state fee; ZenBusiness’s Pro tier includes it.
  4. The EIN. There is no add-on menu: no EIN add-on, no operating-agreement upcharge, no rush tier and no compliance plan.
  5. Mail. The first three government mailings a year are scanned free; after that a per-piece fee applies.
